Beijing time, December 29: the U.S. government appealed on Monday against an injunction issued by a federal judge, which prevented the U.S. Department of Commerce from imposing restrictions on tiktok. These restrictions would actually result in tiktok being banned in the United States. On December 7, US District Judge Carl Nichols of Washington issued a temporary injunction to prevent the restrictions imposed by the US Department of Commerce on tiktok from taking effect on November 12.

美国商务部禁止美国企业向TikTok在美业务提供数据储存、内容输送和其它技术交易。

美国司法部表示，正在哥伦比亚特区上诉法院对尼科尔斯的禁制令提起上诉。另外一家美国上诉法院将在明年2月受理美国政府对今年10月份一项裁决的上诉。宾夕法尼亚州地方法官温迪·布里斯通(Wendy Beetlestone)同样阻止了美国商务部对TikTok施加在11月12日生效的限制。

The U.S. Department of Justice said it was appealing against Nichols' injunction in the District of Columbia Court of appeal. Another U.S. Court of appeal will hear the U.S. government's appeal against a ruling in October next February. Pennsylvania district judge Wendy beetlestone also blocked the commerce department's November 12 restrictions on tiktok.
