Instagram users said that the private messaging function of the instagram platform was shut down hours after twitter was attacked by a complex network, Russia reported today. People use # instagram down (photo wall is closed) as a tag to post their instagram private messages on the Internet, which can't be loaded normally.

On Wednesday (15 local time), twitter accounts of a number of celebrities and politicians in the United States were hacked and links to bitcoin fraud were released. The hackers include former US President Barack Obama, Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, financial tycoon Warren Buffett, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, former New York Mayor Michael Blumberg, singer Kanye West, and American socialite Kim Kardashian.
