India, which deliberately provokes the border conflict between China and India, has been in high nationalist mood recently. On June 29, it banned 59 Chinese apps. Tiktok, a short video app owned by byte beat in India, was also blocked. People familiar with the matter said the ban could cause tiktok to lose more than $6 billion.

据路透社当地时间7月4日报道，TikTok首席执行官凯文·梅耶尔（Kevin Mayer）致信印度政府，表示 政府从未要求该公司提供Tiktok的印度用户数据。梅耶尔曾是迪士尼流媒体业务高管，过去20多年间在迪士尼多个重要岗位任职。他于今年6月1日正式入职字节跳动，担任字节跳动首席运营官兼TikTok全球首席执行官。
